This week our year 6 pupils have been developing their skills in sculpture. They have used their Ancient Greek topic of learning to inspire their clay work and created a Greek pillar armature. An armature required them to use a solid structure as a skeleton to their design which has aided it to stand upright. They have been researching a range of different architectural Greek designs such as ‘Doric, Ionic and Corinthian’ and tried to replicate these designs onto their structure. Check out their attention to detail. We think they’ve done an incredible job! Go year 6!
