Year 1 have been busy making vegetable soup today. We read the story Oliver’s Vegetables, we discussed why we need to keep healthy and ways in which we can do so. Before making the soup today we talked about keeping safe when using the equipment, and how to hold the knife correctly. We carefully chopped the vegetables and worked together to make sure the pan was full. This afternoon, everybody tried the soup, even though some of us didn’t like it, we still gave it a good go! One of the children described it as the ‘best soup ever!’.
