So far this half term, the Year 2s have been enjoying their science learning of ‘Biology: Animals including Humans’. The children have been working scientifically and making regular close observations to understand how a butterfly changes over time.
Currently, they are in the caterpillar stage and have been eating lots of nutrients. The children have observed that this has made the caterpillars, longer, thicker and stronger. We have concluded from these observations that the caterpillars are preparing for their next stage of becoming a pupa.
We are excited to continue to observe as they develop into butterflies.
