On Wednesday, our Year 3 and 4 football teams had home matches against Truro School. For some children this was the first time that they had played in a match for the school.
The year 3 team played first, and in the first half they were very unlucky not to score with the many chances they had on goal. During the second half, they continued to play well, and were rewarded with a goal (Kobi). The final score stayed at 1-0.
Year 4 went next, playing against what seemed a very strong Truro side. All the children played with determination and resilience and, despite going behind early on in the match, they did not give up. Special mention goes to Lukas who managed to make an amazing penalty save when he was in goal. The final score was 6-0 to Truro School. Despite the loss, the whole team played really well and remained positive.
