Year 4 had a “green” time today at Highertown Church thinking about the environment and our responsibility to take care of it.
We made leaf prints, “chatterboxes”, identified and coloured ladybirds, butterflies, and plants, planted seeds and looked at the life cycle of the sunflower.
At the end of the session, we put a wish or a prayer on a leaf about how we would like to see the environment looked after. These were hung on a tree, and some will be read out at church next Sunday.
Many thanks to everyone at the church for making this possible, and well done to Year 4 for representing the school brilliantly
