Over the last few weeks Year 4 have been learning about 4 Ancient Civilisations, with fantastic group work the children created a list of similarities and differences which we are beginning to explore.

The Year 4 learning environment had been unfairly covered in other people’s unwanted rubbish when celebrated World Earth Day. We learnt the ‘rubbish’ truth of how much can be recycled compared to how much IS recycled in our homes and school and the damage this does to our ecosystems. The children also had the opportunity to design an invention of their own to combat this problem! We finished with a wildlife scavenger hunt in our school field to explore the precious wildlife and habitats that we are aspiring to protect.
