Where learning is fuelled by creativity

Year 4 visit Eden!

23rd May 2024 in Humanities Team, STEM Team, Year 4
Year 4 had an amazing time at the Eden Project today, where we became rainforest rangers! We learnt about what plants are helpful to survive in the rainforest, providing shelter, food and water, and we talked about the features of a rainforest before setting off to see the rainforest biome.
In the biome, we got to explore the fantastic surroundings, climbing bridges, getting covered in steam, spotting birds and lizards and generally having a lot of fun! We got to see the plants we would find in a rainforest, from massive banana trees to palm trees with coconuts, from trees with toxic spikes that would burn through your hand to pineapples and other tasty fruit plants.
The children represented the school brilliantly throughout and there was lots of excited and happy conversation about the day on the way back in the coach! Well done Year 4!
