Year 5 were delighted to be able to spend their morning sewing today, as they completed the MAKE session of their DT unit on sewing: creating a tapestry. This term, the children have revisited the Year 4 stitches of: running stitch, back stitch, cross stitch and blanket stitch, as well as learned two new types of Year 5 stitch: satin stitch and stem stitch. All of the Year 5 staff have been really impressed by the children’s designing skills and most importantly, their PATIENCE!
Here are some photos of our amazing designers and technologists!
